Day 11

Very Tired

I believe I have informed you that the roads here are super loud because everyone uses their horn like its going out of style. Besides getting honked at by cabs from behind while youre walking, I have discovered something new in my neighborhood. While trying to get to bed at a decent time last night, I kept hearing this whistle. First I thought it was a kid playing around or something but my roommate informed me it was the security guard. Apparently the security guard walks up and down the streets in the neighborhood and blows a whistle randomly to let the people who live there know that the security guard is around. I understand the idea of this. You feel secure knowing authority is around, HOWEVER you cannot sleep bc of the stupid whistle. What´s the point in that? I need coffee.

Work was great today although exhausting. I probably massaged about 7 men in 2 hours. Everytime I tried to finish to go to someone else they would say, More More! I saw old man bum today (ok his name is Jose) but he wasnt wearing Boston undies. Today it was Tommy Hilfiger, ha.

I also had a special treat today at work. A man (the youngest at Mother Teresas I think) named Ernesto made me a pretty beaded bracelet. I dont even work with him but always say hello and ask how he is in the courtyard. It was so sweet and I was very touched.

My little Tito had quite the sense of humor today. I asked him how old he was and he wouldnt respond. So, I had the men I work with ask him and he said he didn´t speak spanish and didnt understand, ha. Avoiding the question. Guess all people get that way after awhile! He told me that he wants to me massage his leg tomorrow as I worked for awhile on his arm. Hes already thinking ahead.

Im drawing a blank on what else is new here, Im so tired. Im about to book my hotel for Buenos Aires now and then probably do what I do best, nap. Nap time is fun time!
