We have had a very casual and relaxing day with Dave and Vanessa. We all had a fairly big sleep in then we headed out for breakfast/brunch to a modern wee restaurant that is not far away called 'Mooshi Bakes'. They had never actually been there but I'm sure they will be back because it was great food and there were so many options.
It was raining for most of the day so we decided to do a little bit of shopping in the afternoon. We headed to a bigger mall nearby ('Parkway') which is like a Westfield really but quite massive. We went to a neat clothing shop called 'Uni Qlo' which I am definitely going to have to visit when we get to London. It has all the basics and seems to be great quality. Dave and Andrew got new underwear and socks and Andrew got a nice pair of black dress trousers that he desperately needed for when we arrive in London. I got some new 'Havianas' jandals from another store which I had been looking for and we went to the supermarket there called Giant. I tell you it is pretty GIANT! It has absolutely everything you could need and I even found myself getting lost.
We wandered home and spent the afternoon chilling out, watching a bit of TV and catching up on a few emails. It was really nice and I think we are going to need this because we have a busy next few days planned.
We went out for dinner for a Taiwanese meal close by at a restaurant called 'Din Tai Fung' in 112 Katong Mall which was once again super duper yummy. Cannot get over how good the food is here! So fresh, healthy and delicious flavours and we have been very impressed so far! I got told off after taking this photo I have posted with this blog but I didn't realise I couldn't take photos, Oooops! It was so incredible how the kitchen worked and I wanted to capture this because we do not see this kind of thing in New Zealand. Anyway another incredible dining experience to tick of my list! I purchased a wee souvenir bag that you got cheap if you dined there and spent over $50 which is cool. It is a cute canvas bag that has a wee dumpling on it and some asian writing and is fully lined so will be a handy wee bag! Off to bed now!
Another great day in Sing!
