The smell of char grilled steak wafted through the carpark, beckoning us into the Tex-Mex diner. Yee ha! I really was in Texas now! There was a saddle at the door and peanut kernels crunched under our feet as we entered. A large pail of them was set down for us to chew on before our dinner.
What to eat? Should I go for the Combo Appetiser of Boneless Buffalo Wings, Rattlesnake Bites and Tater Skins, AND a main? What the heck, I can always take some home! Jean watched eagerly to see how I managed the Rattlesnake Bites of jalapeño peppers mixed into cheese, coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried. They were good and I was boasting how I could handle jalapeños only to be brought back to earth with the warning. "There are jalapeños....and there are JALAPEÑOS!
I ordered a 10oz steak (the smallest) and ate about a quarter, but boy it was good. It also made dinner for the two of us the next night. Three meals for the price of one, now that's pretty neat.
Cries of Yee Ha rang out along with hootin' and hoolerin'. It was someone's birthday and they had to ride the saddle while everyone yelled! The restaurant was full and people really seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was another grand night, experiencing the Lone Star State.

Bev Langbein Ops, I meant 10oz. Silly Americans and their imperial system. Anyone would think they were more British than the British!,,
Bruce YEH , but the rest of their "Imperial system " is different Their steel rule for the workshop has ; tenths & twentieths NOT eighths & sixteenths like out old imperial system (Inches are still the same) AND their Gallons are much smaller , only 3.78 litres , a trick for young players
