Chilli hot, hot or curry hot, hot? Well it was chilli Cajun style, but not too hot! First time eating Cajun and it was good. The clam chowder was great, I had a cup for $2.99 and it was a soup bowl full. glad I didn't have the bowl for $7.99 as I'd still be there eating it! The Crawfish Cornbread was the main, so big that there is some in the fridge for tomorrow. The bread was dense but light and the crawfish were the size of school prawns in Oz, the cornbread was made with jalapeño chillos, but my taste buds must be evolving, I hope, because it was mild.
As we came out it was still twilight 7:30pm and there were birds called Grackles on every telegraph wire and in every tree making a racquet. Jean says that she is sure they are the birds Alfred Hitchcock had in mind when he made the film 'Birds'.
Watched 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' again back at home, never tire of that one.
Earlier in the day we called in at a second hand book, record, DVD, CD store that went upstairs, downstairs and even out the back. A treasure trove that was too heavy to carry home, but I did buy one book by Tony Hillerman 'The Walking Wind' a murder mystery set in Navajo country. He is a famous Western states author.
