Even in the earliest part of the morning, I realized two things: powdered eggs is a terrible way to start your day and there are way too many of my co-workers at the feeding troff. The Hyatt offers us free breakfasts and free dinners and at first, I thought that that was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Not only are people cooking for me, but it's free and will allow me to have some spare cash for my free time. However, as the mornings come and go, I've realized that the only thing you can count on being good for you in the free meals is the fruit and vegetables (I don't even bother with the dinners anymore). Now I love both, so it works out, but every now and then, a quality omelette is in order. I guess that makes me a cheap ass or lazy for not going out and getting one or making one myself in the kitchen in my room. Both are also correct.
I started my first day back and it was very uneventful. I managed to complete some expense reports and catch up on some claims already in my inventory. There are a lot of people at the Resolution Desk (where I'm working for the next two weeks) and I can imagine there are a ton of people working from home still as well. I predict a very slow two week tour. At least I have my workouts to look forward to. We are anticipating a wicked snowstorm on Wednesday too, so maybe no work! Feels like I'm a teenager again hoping for a snow day.
Now it's time for the National Championship game! These pre-game shows are getting very silly and repetitive, I'm almost worn out just from listening to Desmond Howard spout out his opinion about Oregon needing 13 guys on defense...
I've got my awesome game time meal of chicken and mixed vegetables and am ready for Oregon to take it all home!
