Woke up today in the seaside town of Kingston SE to find most of the other caravans, camper vans and motor homestead already packed up and left.
Made scrambled eggs, capsicum, cherry tomatoes, smoked salmon and avocado for brekky - yum!
Packed up and left around 11am driving along the magical and mystical Coorong, home of the iconic children's book (and movie) Storm Boy, by Colin Thiele, which was set in the sand dunes of the Coorong.
We drove straight through, with a short stop for lunch, and stopped at the free camp at Narrung right next to the free ferry that takes you across Lake Alexandrina.
Narrung is home to Raukkan Aboriginal Community and the Raukkan Church, which along with notable resident David Unaipon, feature on the Australian $50 note.
We spent the afternoon relaxing in the sun, doing some washing, going out in the kayak (Gadi and Cadbury), baking a cake (me) and sitting in the sun sipping on vodka cranberry and lime (me!).
Another bbq dinner - this time sticky lamb ribs and roasted eggplant, pumpkin and zucchini followed by my surprisingly successful gluten free pineapple and coconut cake accompanied by grilled pineapple - was all delicious and Cadbury loved the rib bones.
Forced inside once the mosquitoes came out, it's time to settle down to watch a bit of TV, read and hop into bed, tired out from living and playing in the great Aussie outdoors.
Night night xx
