Today we officially finished the habitat house! We mortared the last brick in place around noon. All that is left to do is finish digging the septic tank hole and some clean up. After lunch today we drove to the local elementary school where they welcomed us with a program of traditional dance and music. We then entertained them with things we had brought. Mark threw balls and played catch with them and then we did the Hokey Pokey which they loved! Then we split up and went to the individual classrooms and visited with the children. Mark and I went to the 2nd grade class and I taught them Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes! They thought we were hysterical. We all brought things from home to share - pencils, stickers , balls, paper, whistles, etc. They children were all so sweet and well behaved and intrigued by the big Americans! After a relaxing dinner at a Chinese ( not Thai) restaurant we are headed to bed early. Tomorrow after an early morning walk to the market we are going to go to the local tennis center to drop off some donated racquets and balls we brought. I'm definitely ready to get home and see my daughters but this has been an amazing experience so far.
