Had a bit of a sleep in thismorning, but it was hard after so many early starts, so at 7 Bianca, Danielle, Brad and I went and put some laundry in and took a stroll back to the markets. We just wandered around taking some photos and chatting to some of the stall holders. I bought a rug off this really really lovely old lady that was so sweet. I got a photo with her at her stall and she sent us off with a big cuddle. After that we went to have a coffee at the best coffee shop in town (andrew - think you may have even been impressed). It's funny the way they serve coffee here, it isn't all mixed together like back home. They serve it in a glass mug so that you can see the distinct layers. There is a layer of coffee at the bottom, then a layer of milk, which sits on top of the coffee like oil sits on water. No mixing. Then there is the foam. After coffee we met the others back at the hotel and went to the outskirts of town to have ceviche again. So good. In the afternoon we went to an Incan museum to look at some of the artifacts recovered from machu picchu. When it hit 5pm, Bianca and I scurried to this local doughnut shop that Raoul had raved about. Seriously, it was like the soup nazi shop from Seinfeld. It took ages to line up (as it was a tiny shop) and people were willing to just push straight past you in the line. Anyhow, we finally got our doughnuts (see pic) which are pumpkin dough fried and drizzled with honey. Delicious! Straight after that it was time for dinner (feel like the whole day was spent eating!!!). We all jumped in cabs and headed to john's pizzeria. Some of our group started tequila shots and things got pretty messy. I did a shot to humour everyone but I was pretty happy to be heading home at midnight. The ones keen on making a night of it headed to the main square where the clubs are. I have to say, I doubt the six hour bus trip tomorrow will be fun for them.
