So, I'm sitting here in the airport at Dallas, trying to keep my eyes open. 4AM check-in really is not conducive to being a good human being. That and not sleeping in the oh so comfortable plane seats. Not to say that I didn't try to catch some zzzzs for the entire 3 1/2 hour flight.
WOW. The rain here came out of nowhere and it stopped just as soon as it started. Cool. We've been sitting here for over 3 hours now waiting for the storm to pass. I guess it could be worse as I'm watching on the news how parts of Texas are flooded. Quicker clock, before the runway washes away! I'm ready to get out of the country and this 2 hour layover is killing me! It should be interesting when I finally get there, however, as I still have a long way to go. It will be at least another 6 hours in the bus before I get to Xalapa. I just with they had an airport in Xalapa and I would just fly from Mexico City. Yeah, right. People watching at the airport is fun. There's confusion, urgency, overwhelmed, anger, and just plain lost. I don't think there are many cultural differences, I'm finding that airports are one of those great equalizers... everyone is just as anxious and confused. I've been texting Sarah and Jorge to pass the time. It's been fun, but I'm ready to GOOOOOO.
More when there's something to write (or when I get really, really bored).
My apologies if you've actually read this far. What a rant! It will get better, I promise.
