Cold cold day today.
Work was okay. Not terribly exciting but not necessarily boring either. I was just sick of looking at a computer screen so I kept getting distracted.
Walking to work was not too bad. I seemed to be dressed appropriately and was even a tad bit warm. Coming home from work was a different story. I was super cold. My hands were fine (first day I wore gloves) but by toes were numb (big surprise) and the rest of me felt cold. I really need to go buy a few cardigans so I can add a layer or two underneath my current jacket before I pull out the pea coat.
Running is becoming difficult to do on days I have work. This is due to the fact that we still don't have hot water (rumored to be fixed by the weekend, fingers crossed) and the amount of daylight. I can't get myself to go running before work, I just can't get up that early and it's not light enough out to go running until after 8, and I already get up at 8:30 to get ready for work. As of right now it is getting dark just before 6, which means I have to go running the second I get home from work. In a week or so it'll be daylight savings and then it'll be dark before I get out of work. Ellie and I are going to go running together a few times in the dark (we have no other option). Luckily I know Regent's park is lit up in certain sections, we'll just have to stick to the main paths.
We were going to see a movie tonight but it wasn't until 9 and we just did not want to venture back out into the cold. So instead we just hung around the flat. I made some dinner then spent the evening invested in the works of Jane Austen.
Sleepy time now. I am determined to go running after work tomorrow.
