I got up and went to make myself some breakfast. Moved someone else's used pan off the stove and into the sink. Turns out it was still piping hot because it was resting on the hot, albeit off, burner. Needless to say I burned my finger rather badly. The only time it didn't hurt was when I had it soaking in water. So I struggles getting ready and made my way to work.
When I got to work Felicity told me to try lavender oil. So I went to the chemist just around the block from the PEF and tried it out when I returned. It was fantastic. It cools it down and stops the pain. Added bonus: it smells wonderful. Felicity told me this remedy was discovered by a scientist who burned himself with a Bunsen burner and put his hand in the nearest liquid (lavender oil). Apparently it has some anaesthetic qualities.
Anyway work was good. I did a variety or tasks with a lot of moving around, not my usual siting at a computer in a basement, so it was a rather nice change and the day went by fast.
After work I came back to the flat, had a snack and caught up on last night's episode of Glee. Amazing. Britney Spears and John Stamos in the same episode. Great.
Then I made some bruschetta. Fabulous. My flatmates really liked it too. I could've used riper tomatoes but it still turned out great.
Frances's friend from school, who's studying in Ireland, arrived and is staying here for a few days.
Dawn and I did a little more research about our trip to Liverpool on Friday. I'm very excited. Other than all the Beatles stuff (which I am so psyched for. Finally!!!) there are a lot of things to check out there (and a lot of it is free). It's going to be a long packed day.
Anyway I am going to bed now. I need to get more sleep than I have been.
