Ohayou!
Today we traveled to Himeji to see the castle (pictured) and its gardens. The journey was quick and before long we were there, and it is fantastic to look at. It rises up above the trees, and it really does look majestic. Unfortunately, everyone else in Japan knows this, and so it was PACKED. We had massive queue to get into the grounds, and then an even longer queue to get into the castle itself, but it was worth it, since we saw some relics from the shogunate days, and could look out from the castles sixth floor.
The gardens next to it were also nice to wander through, and we saw the most massive carp in the world...it must have been a meter long!
We're both pretty knackered today so we're going to have a small rest and then head out to either the Otaku district ("geek central"), since going to a pokecentre wasn't geeky enough for us, or Amerika-Mura, which is where the Japanese teens live out the American dream XD
