Bonjour mes amis :)
Today is the day I had to say goodbye to Austin. :( I am really sad he had to leave but so happy he came to visit me! We had a great time! So, after waking up and having an absolutely delicious breakfast buffet at the Hotel du Louvre (my new favorite place in Paris), we walked to find a taxi, said goodbye, and I headed back to home base in Evry. :) The taxi driver and I actually became friends and talked the entire time about cats and Paris and life and a bunch of other random subjects. His cat's name is Oswald! It was a god thing I got along with the driver because my short thirty minute ride back to Evry turned into a two hour ride sitting in traffic because of a roadblock. It definitely threw a wrench in the schedule because I was heading back to meet everyone and head to Versailles for the day. Finally, I made it back to the school and to my surprise, Erin, Nicholette, Mikayla, and Keiry were all still asleep so I figured they were not going to Versailles after all. Besides, activating my phone was a tad more important than Versailles anyways since I leave tomorrow morning for Geneva! So after banging on Erin's door for about ten minutes to get her to wake up, she finally rolled out of bed and she walked with me to the mall to get my adorable little, 8 euro, flip phone activated! It only took a few minutes which left time for shopping! We headed back to school after a few hours and just had a relaxing day in Evry today. We worked on some homework, cleaned our rooms, and even did our laundry! (Mom, I know you're proud!) We needed a day off after our whirlwind week of sightseeing, classes, exploring Paris, and trying all different kinds of French food and wine. :) We just finished packing a little bit ago for Switzerland, which is tomorrow. I cannot wait to see Geneva because I hear it is absolutely beautiful! The 7am wakeup hopefully will not be too hard, but it will be so worth it to get to explore another country tomorrow! I am most excited for the tour we get to take of the United Nations. That sounds like quite the experience and I absolutely have my camera charged and ready to go! I am excited to hear all about the UN and the interesting things they will tell us. I have to keep reminding myself that I am exploring Europe! It seems surreal!
I better get some sleep! I have a big day ahead!
Bonne nuit! (Means goodnight in French :))
