Bonjour!
Today was just like any other day with the typical class schedule. However, French class was much more exciting today because the actual teacher was here as opposed to the substitute which made for a much smoother class. She is so sweet and I did not feel dumb for asking any questions. After class, we all got ready and headed in to Paris with a group of about twenty of us! It was so much fun and I saw the Notre-Dame. It was absolutely beautiful. The gargoyles and intensely detailed architecture made for a stunning building. I took so many pictures!! Then we all walked over to the area called Saint Michel. It is a great area with a lot of cute side streets and shops and a billion restaurants to choose from (not to mentions gelato places on each corner!). We all ended up going to dinner in a French restaurant in the Saint Michel area that had great food. I decided to stray away from the usual French options and ordered spaghetti. :) Of course, we all had a glass of wine with dinner as the Frenchies would do. :) We definitely fit in...except for our obvious American-ness of course. It was really cool because at dinner, there were so many of us from all over the place! There were people from Mexico, Colombia, Barabdos, US, Russia, Canada, and Croatia. It is such a cool experience to be making so many friends that live all over the world! After dinner, we all went out on the town! We went dancing which was such a blast. We all danced the night away and everyone was having a great time! The music was in French at some points which was cool to go clubbing to French music. However, being American seemed to turn against us when our friend was accused for pulling th fire alarm when he clearly didn't and the bouncers at the club insisted on calling the police or making our friend pay them money for pulling the alarm - which he did not do!! Eventually they stopped giving him a hard time and we all left for the metro and headed home. It was areally great night and everyone had an awesome time! Until....... we finally got back to the dorm rooms and I realized my cell phone was nowhere to be found! Sadly, it must have fallen out of a pocket on the metro so there was definitely no way for it to be found. So, that was a huge bummer that I had officially lost my iPhone. Hopefully I will be able to figure out how to get a new one!
Wish me luck!
