Bonjour!
Today was quite an early day! I woke up around 7am and got ready for breakfast at 8 with all of our international friends, and then headed to class at 9:30. I am becoming quite the coffee drinker to stay awake in these morning classes and I really am liking it! Today I had a cappuccino, I feel so mature being able to say that! haha. Anyway, we started out in management class today and our teacher today was from University of Alabama so it was exciting to have an American teacher without an accent that I have trouble understanding! We learned about social media and it was a really cool lecture because it applies to our generation so much. I feel as though we helped teach the class because we are the ones who use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and all of the social media popping up all over the place. Then, after class I got my iPhone in the mail which was exciting because I don't feel as disconnected any more - although it was fun to have a stone age flip phone for the past few days with no internet and just one game that kind of reminded me of Pacman. It makes me remember what it was like in the days before Facebook which seems like so long ago. It goes hand in hand with what we learned in class today because social media absolutely seem to run everyone's lives nowadays. After a French lunch with all of my international friends, it was time for French class. J Oh la la! I realized, though, that this class feels a little too advanced for me because it is hard to understand what is going on sometimes since they just expect you to already know all of the verbs and vocabulary they use, and I feel like I am not as up to speed. So, I moved to the class one step down and I already feel so much less stressed and don't feel dumb for not understanding something which is great! After class, we all decided to hang out on campus and go to the bar on campus and hang out with everyone! It was a lot of fun! Tomorrow, Erin and I are going on a river cruise on the Seine River for dinner and champagne! It is going to be a great week/weekend! Since some of our friends are going to Barcelona this weekend, Erin and I decided to save our money and go to Versailles this weekend, possibly Normandy, and shop in Paris!
I cannot wait for the river cruise tomorrow! It is going to be so relaxing and awesome to see Paris at night with the lit-up Eiffel Tower!
Until tomorrow, Au Revoir!
