Bonjour from Geneva!

Today started out a little rough with the 7am wakeup and having to meet for the bus at 7:45am! It was hilarious looking around on the bus and seeing everyone in the most awkward positions and with their faces looking so funny trying to sleep. Unfortunately the bus did not have air conditioning so we were all dying of heat. It made for an interesting bus ride. Erin and I ended up just curling up in the seats together and falling asleep on eachother. There were some pretty great pictures that people took of us while we were sleeping! After about an eight hour bus ride, we finally made it to Geneva! We checked into the hostel, which by the way set the standard high for any furtur hostel I have to stay at. There were four other girls in my room all that were from our group. It was me, Erin, Kyrie (from Barbados), and Ashley and Lia (from Australia). The view from our room was of the Geneva Lake so it was beautiful. We really lucked out with our room view! I definitely like this hostel better than my dorm back in Evry. We had some free time after arriving in Geneva so we all walked along the Geneva Lake and took a ton of pictures. It was absolutely gorgeous!! The fountain was so huge and it really does shoot up water into the air at least 100 feet. It was a relaxing and beautiful first day in Switzerland. We evn got to catch the tail end of a pro volleyball tournament that was going on by the lake. We all went to dinner at the hostel together after exploring Geneva and I must say that I absolutely LOVE it here!

Tomorrow we get to visit the ITU and get a lecture anda tour so I am excited to see what that is like. After that, we get a full day of free time! So be sure to check tomorrow to see everything that we did in Geneva! :) It is such a beuatiful place and it is so safe and clean - just a little different from Washington, DC or New York City.

I am headed to the roof of the hostel to hang out with everyone now that dinner is over and just look at the amazing view!
