Today is a big day for me as I am getting my first ever tattoo! Miko and Milly are taking me to Brute Face on Legian in Kuta. Before we went though I gave Kadek a driving lesson in the Toyota, which was hilarious and quite hard with all the traffic around. He did quite well and I will have him driving before I leave. I showed Murdi and him how to reverse the car into the garage instead of making 500 3 point reverse turns to back it in, and for ease of just driving out. Kadek will master it as soon as he masters letting the clutch out and accelerating gently. Murdi said I will probably be better to teach him as I am a better driver than any of them. At Brute face another Kadek (this name means 2nd born in the family in Balinese so it is a very common name here) was my tattooist and I have my son Bradley's name and birth date on me, in script with red and black writing it looks AWESOME! I love and can't believe how worried I was that it would hurt, it DIDN'T! Not at all. However whilst I was on the table it shook quite hard and I thought Kadek had bumped it with his foot, but he thought I was moving and stopped. Turns out it was a mini earthquake! No really and I can't believe I have experienced a tremor that I could feel while getting a tattoo. Unbelievable. We stopped for mango juice and banana pancakes afterwards. We then went to the Bounty and made plans with Lisa and Nic to have dinner the next night (Friday) and then to go out. I was exhausted after riding all day so I jumped on my scooter to go home. All of the traffic lights were down so it was a little chaotic, but I got home safe. Normally the traffic light here have big numbers in green light over them that count down until they go green and then count down till they go red, what a wonderful idea wish we had them in Australia, as it is to prevent people from running red lights. It doesn't work but I think it is a great idea anyway. So forward thinking in some ways, yet backwards in others. They still have cigarette advertising EVERYWHERE on Billboards, magazines and on tv terrible really.Still love the place to bits!
