Today I was up at 7am as the family and I went to Kutamandi to see the volcano and the lake behind it. It was so spectacular it took my breath away! So so pretty and high up in the mountains. It is still very active and yet there is a village just below it. You can see where the lava goes when it erupts as it is barren and black. I was up at 5.30 today as I had an early night. So by 9am I was out of the house down to coffee shop for free wifi and to write this blog. The coffee here is insanely good. Today is a big day for me as I am getting my first ever tattoo! Miko and Milly are taking me to Brute Face on Legian in Kuta. Before we went though I gave Kadek a driving lesson in the Toyota, which was hilarious and quite hard with all the traffic around. He did quite well and I will have him driving before I leave. Today I was not up until 8.30am, which is the latest I have been able to sleep since I have been here. I want to sleep longer but I can't. I had Balinese soup which is called terong. So today I woke early had an omelette in my hotel, grabbed a pushbike from my hosts and rode everywhere! Kuta beach first where I indulged in a massage, pedicure and manicure; sublime!
