I had the 0400 to 0700 watch. The only thing of interest was a cruise ship that passed, looking like a small island.
We arrived in Virgin Gorda about 1500. We picked up a mooring in a place called Bitter End. After tidying up the lines, Marty, Erika, and I went for a swim.
This place is very beautiful and well protected. Lots of charter boats moored here, mostly Catamarans. Many people are skittering around the bay in little Hobie Cats or other small, fast, but unstable craft. They capsize frequently but are easy to right.
There are also people using paddle boards to get around. These are like a surf board that is paddled by someone standing up. They move right along and seem to be much more stable than they look.
Tonight Peter roasted a chicken with corn and peas and potatoes. We all took turns trying to convince Erica to stay on board until we get to San Juan but she is very anxious to get to St. Kitts where her boy friend is. She is a wonderful person and I hope she finds someone that really appreciates her inner and outer beauty.
