I had the 0400 to 0700 watch this morning and everything was good until the sun came up and I went below to fetch my camera and as I was coming up on deck I paused on the ladder and the boat pitched and I went falling back.
This was in a rather calm sea too. Anyway, I stopped my fall with my arms across the top of the hatch and gashed my right elbow in the same place as I hurt it in August. The pain was so intense that I passed out on the deck for a moment. I felt nauseous.
Peter found me and gave me 1000 mg of IB Prophin, put a large band aid on my arm and sent me to bed. So I was restricted to light duty for the day.
When I awoke, I felt pretty good, probably due to the medication.
Erica served us breakfast of oatmeal again, her specialty.
The day was looking to be another stunning one and it wasn't long before we were all outside enjoying the sea and the sun.
After sunset we all went below and had a delightful dinner of Rata-toile with delicious garlic bread and red wine. I cleaned up and we all settled down to watch the rest of House of Cards (first season).
I had the first watch tonight and figured out our position is about 900 miles east of Charleston, SC, and 400 miles west of Bermuda
