Our last day in South Africa so were both more than a little disappointed that we have to leave. We have loved it here.
We got up nice and early with a plan to drive to a local service station about 5k's away from our hotel to get the tyre fixed. As we are walking to the car we notice one of the hotel staff walking through the car park and ask him if there is anyone at the hotel that could help. Lucky we did because when we get back to the car the tyre is now completely flat and we wouldn't be able to drive it anywhere. The guy was so lovely and changed it in a flash.
Right, time for breakfast. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was delicious and we ate until we almost burst - again. The hotel is situated on the farm that Paul Kruger used to live on and the houses are still there intact. The owner of the hotel had brought up the land as it became available as he had a vision to turn it into a museum of sorts. It was quite interesting as neither of us had much knowledge of Paul Kruger.
We then headed back to Johannesburg to catch out flight. On the way we had to make a quick stop off to the Pick n Pay to grab a bag of endearmints. We have become obsessed with them. They are similar to mentos but better. We also purchased some biltong for the family at duty free but we don't know if customs will let us bring it back. Fingers crossed.
Now we are sitting at the terminal waiting to leave and our flight is constantly being delayed. Maybe it's an omen that we need to stay a little longer. Elstub always wanted to go to Namibia and we're not that far away.
