Lovely stopover in the tiny hamlet of Altnahara.
The planned ride of 65 miles started with a gentle 3 mile climb up across completely deserted moorland with only the occasional car for company. For the tougher bits Jake got to run alongside to ease our load and to make his life a bit more interesting too.
Unfortunately it was raining on and off but the views were beautiful and made up for it until it started to pour down when we had done about 55 miles and then found that it was actually 72 miles and not 65 to our stop.
We were soaked, as was all our kit, even the stuff in waterproof bags and panniers but we got there OK, even if we were late.
Walked into town for dinner and crashed out as soon as we could.
