Hey everyone!
Sorry I havent written in a while, I have been swamped with homework so I havent done too much cool stuff this week. However. this weekend will be laded with cool things! I am very excited. Yesterday I went to Italica with a class from school. It is a small city which was actually the first Roman colony of Spain. They are digging up the ancient Roman city. They have about 10% of the city excavated and they have access to about 40% more. It was very cool to me because I am taking History of Spanish Art and History of Spain so we have been learning about all of the different kinds of buildings and structures. We saw some houses, a couple bakerys, a bathhouse and many wealthier class houses with beautiful mosaics in the floors. It's definatly worth going to see if you have some background knowledge! The city was only about a half hour away so we took a bus. I have many pictures of that which I will put up on Facebook this weekend. Sorry again about not being able to put pictures up on here. Maybe when my dad comes in October he can figure it out! Well tonight I am going to my first bullflight. Its at 6:00 and I guess 6 different bulls are there so it will be a long show. There will be many pictures of that as well. On Saturday I am going to a very famous Flamenco bar and if I can take pictures, I will! Sunday is market day, everything is closed in the city but market so we usually go to a couple a look around. There will be more after this weekend! *And for those who dont know yet, my parents arrived safely in Germany :)
High point of the day: Knowing the bullfight is tonight!
Low Point of the day: Having class on Friday for the last time this semester.
Thing I miss the most: Having my own bathroom.
Something new I learned today: Stone grills used to make pizza today originated in Roman bakerys many years ago!
