So this past weekend I went to Cordoba and Granada, Spain with my ISA group. On Friday we left at about 9AM and went to Cordoba for the afternoon. We went to The Mezquita and had a guided tour of it and the city. It was very cool learning about all of the different stages if time that went in to the architecture of the building. We learned a lot. The city was small but we saw a few things like the cathedral and some cool restuarants. Then we left and headed to Granada for the night. We ate dinner with friends and then walked to a few points to see the Alhambra at night and then headed to a cave to watch a Flamenco show. It was different that what i have seen before because there were many dancers instead of just one. It was a very fun environment and great music! We then went out for a couple tapas because in Granada they are very traditional; when you order a drink, a free tapa comes with it. The next day we had a tour of the Alhambra which was awesome. Those are palaces on top of a hill if people didnt know. There were many wedding photoshoots going on at the time which was cool to see. There are many pictures on Facbook! Then we had some free time, went to lunch and shopped around a bit. It was funny because it seemed kind of like we were back in Morocco! There was a lot of the same stuff that they sold in Morocco there. It was kind of nice because surprisingly enough, it was cheaper in Granada! After that we drove back to Sevilla and had all of Sunday to do homework!
Today is actually Thanksgiving and i am stuck at school going to class and doing homework! Nothing like being in the US. We do have a dinner tonight with our program so at least that part will be somewhat the same! 20 more days left in Spain, the time has just flew!
Tomorrow I am going to Rhonda, Spain. I will write about that and then spending one of my only and last weekends in Sevilla! Then its off to Italy!
Thing I miss the most: Family!
High point of the day: We get Thanksgiving dinner today
Low point of the day: Reading facebook and hearing about everyone being at home and with family and im not!
Thing I learned today: Just think of it as its not really Thanksgiving and then I wont miss it as much!
