Day 6
A relative lie in and two flights today.
There has been much mocking of Tracey this morning... and deservedly so!
As well as her dinner making a reoccurrence so did breakfast! I knew the chirpyness was a facade!
As we waited for the truck to take us back to the airport there was another Cluroe scream! This time nothing to do with me! Lisa didn't check her walking trainers before she put them on and had picked up a passenger! (didn't get a picture of the reaction but I did get a picture of the bug!)
We are currently sat on the flight to cote a Kinabalu which is now heading towards Miri due to bad weather.
The plane has bounced around a bit... There were a couple of big bumps that made some of the girls yelp but I didn't think it was that serious.
I am sat with Toney... Possibly the best person to be sat with as he is as non fussed by the situation as I am.
So what will we do now? Wait out the weather in Miri and get another flight or will they drive us across?
Well if we were in the air for 25 mins with a relative ground speed of 450 - 500kmh I am guessing the road journey will be a b****!
I have been looking out of the window and there is nothing that looks like the M1 down there!
The roller coaster ride seems to have stopped for now!!
We are having to wait on the plane until the airport authorities decide what to do.
There are some south Africans sat directly in front of me and there friends are on the opposite side of the aisle. My god can they whine! Nothing on this flight has been good enough for them. Even in Afrikaans you can tell there b****ing!
We are on an AR72 twin engined plane. Again. The SA's are still in front of me... I might start kicking the seat.
I had a cheese and tomato sandwich and a coffee in the airport while we waited for the plane to be refuelled. They bumped the 5:30 flight to let us have another go.
I was talking to Lisa in the airport and she was more worried about the turbulence than I was. Hopefully I have reassured her and she will be ok on this flight.
Triv said the German girl sat opposite the aisle from him was really gripping the seat, lost all colour and it was her I could hear yelping!
We are now about 10 mins in to our second attempt at flying to cote a Kinabalu. It's not so bad so far. If we do go down I will switch the signal back on my phone so you can find us. However it's an iPhone with only 30% charge left. So if you don't locate me within the next hour I am b*****ed!
This flight is bumpier that the last one!! Maybe coffee and a sandwich was not a good idea!!
