Day two in Hanoi was all about Ho Chi Minh. We saw his mausoleum, museum, presidential palace and botanical garden. And for the first time in over a year we saw grass! But we weren't allowed to walk on it :(
We stopped for a $5 lunch at a sidewalk cafe on Dien Bien Phu street where they squeezed us some fresh pineapple juice. Tamara had a beef pho soup and I had a fried egg sandwich. Both were great.
We headed back to Highway 4 restaurant tonight for dinner because it was so amazing last night. My new favorite Vietnamese beer is Dai Viet.
After another day we started to notice that the locals love foreigners. Mostly because they can get money out of them. But then just when we thought we had it all figured out, two Vietnamese students asked us to role play different social situations for them to record. It was a little strange but ended up getting us a little Vietnamese souvenir as thanks for helping them out. Over all the people here are really nice!
