Spent the day pimpin on a sick boat cruising all over ha long bay. Took a walking tour of the "amazing cave". Biggest cave in the bay. It was HUGE! Our room on the boat was impressive. Felt like royalty on the titanic.
I really can't even begin to describe how cool it was to spend the night on the boat. The food was amazing and the people we met were awesome! We met a couple from Austria, a man from Holland, a father and daughter from Austria and some fellow Canadians. I am fully and utterly satisfied and happy with our Halong bay tour. Off to the cycling portion!
As much as I loved the boat, the hilight of ha long bay was the bike tour on cat ba island. We got to bike through limestone mountains on old school bicycles. After about 30 minutes of cruising down massive hills, the trail opened up to a beautiful valley where we biked through the tiny village of (?) and stopped for tea. On the way back we didn't have to climb back up the hills with our bikes because we could take the tunnel right through the mountain. We came across a family of goats walking through the same tunnel as us. They seemed unfazed by our presence.
After two months of slacking on the P90 program in Korea, two days of climbing mountains, stairs and caves left our legs a little worse for the wear. I'm only one week into the trip and I'm already excited for our Cambodian spa week! However, the longer I can enjoy this vacation the better. So as my wise mother always tells me...appreciate every day one at a time and don't waste it waiting for what is to come! Duly (spelling) noted ma!
