Up early for my last walk with Penya and Paza. Unfortunately had to share it with 13 Singaporean school kids but it was still great to take a moment before they arrived with Widmos and Mackson getting the girls out early. They were in such a playful mood and just wanted to walk.
Time to pack or in this case stuff everything back into my backpack. Gary and Di Jones, one of the managers at the park drove me to meet the bus. Thankfully they waited with me just to make sure all went smoothly as as it should happen after 2.5 hours of waiting we found out the bus had broken down at Kwe Kwe and "could" be another 2 hours, keeping in mind this is Africa and 2 hours can also mean 4 or 6 hours or not at all. The Jones' thought best to go back to the park and transfer directly to Bulwayo tomorrow. Of course that was not a problem with me.
The surprise and confusion on people's faces when I returned was very funny and welcoming, it was like coming home.
A bonus for me to get another walk in with Laili and Lewa.
Oh what a night! A smooth bottle of red wine, beers and vodka at the volunteer party lounge to goodness knows what time. For 3 weeks I had managed to avoid the party night, but with the rugby and only 10 volunteers in camp, made it feel not so school disco'ish...
