Ah feeling human and raring to go on our 6 hour walk with Paza and Penya. The long walks are for the cubs to get used to the bush smells and practice their hunting skills. We spotted wildebeest first and the girls gave chase and a good effort, working together but not good enough for a kill. Next we came across impalas on one side, wildebeest in front and giraffes to the right - Paza didn't really care, but Penya was in the mood and chased the wildebeest on her own gaining on them to about 10 metres behind, it's the most I've seen the girls do and was pretty exciting seeing their instincts in action!
Despite our 6hr walk we still took Paza and Penya for their afternoon walk, like us they were tired so it was more of a stroll with a few stops along the way.
What a fun fun night! A group of us played "vehicle stalk" - where we are driven out to the bush, the troopie then drives off and we have to sneak and stalk our way up to it through the long grass and shrubs but without being spotted by the spot light. The aim is to get to the troopie without being seen. So much fun, commando crawling through the grass, sneaking up. The closest I got was about 5 metres. Can't wait to play again.

Chris Willis This made me laugh, as my imagination took hold, but I can imagine how much it would get the adrenalin pumping :)
