A fresh start to the morning though soon warmed up with my morning walk with Penya and Paza who were quite playful and mischievous.
In preparation for the big boy lions feed on Thursday, most of us were assigned to cleaning the enclosures. Time to get down and dirty picking up poo, bones, and unidentifiable bits... Really not feeling hungry for lunch!
Raring to go again after a shower... I feel so clean.
I now can officially speak Shona... well sort of. Sheila one of kitchen hands gave us a Shona language lesson which was lots of fun - "wa muka say" is good morning, "ta ten da" is thank you, "day pee" is what's up. Im sure my spelling is not correct, but at least I can understand the pronunciation. Trying my new skills out at dinner with the cooks and got a few laughs. Don't think my version of Shona quite made sense.
With two truck loads of overlanders arriving, we weren't required to join the afternoon lion walks and enjoyed a sunset cruise which turned into a booze cruise. Back on dry land and the drinks continued with Bec, Sam and I sitting around the fire, drinking our boxed merlot, chatting the night away.
