today i had my Grand Tour class, which is a literature class and i'm wicked excited for it! the class is about the "grand tourists," 20-something year olds who travelled through europe, italy especially, to gain knowledge and experience life basically, starting in the 1700s. we will be reading and studying what they saw and wrote. the professor put things into perspective for me and it was crazy, she said that it is what we are doing, that all of those people from all those years ago, we are doing exactly what they did basically. it was really cool to think about it in that perspective. then i had my Venice Film Festival class which was also awesome! we will be looking at the history of the VFF and watching/studying the movies that won and everything. then laster on that night the power cut out in the apartment and we lost our internet!! which was NOT cool! it was suchhh a pain in the but not having it but we finally got it back monday-such a process
