today was another amazing day!!!!!!!!!! to start things off we went on a survival tour throughout the city with a guide. she was great and really friendly n knowledgeable. she told us and took us to the post office(which is the nicest post office i have ever seen and looks like it could be a museum in its own right), the train station, the shops in the area, to our programs main office (API) it was really cool, the movie theater which looked so freaking unbelievable-it is nothing like the movie theaters at home that is for sure, and we basically walked around in circles but she kept pointing out what was around us so it all made sense for the most part. but once again it was freezing, it wasnt really cold-especially when compared to home but the wind is awful here and the sun isn't really out that often. but after the tour we grabbed some lunch at a pizzeria which was amazing! it was our first time having italian pizza and it was soooo goood! it wasn't greasy and it tasted real for a change and like it wasn't processed. then we had our cooking class which was such a wicked fun time! we all loved it! our teacher guy was called roberto and he was such a smart ass and kept joking around with us all it was fantastic! lol it reminded me of dick's last resort in boston where the staff is purposely rude to you. but it was all in good fun. we turned out to be pretty good cooks, only because he came in and saved us a few times and kept us in check with it all. he got all the recipes for the food we made and i'm wicked excited to come home and make it! we all decided to go back because they offer a lesson on how to make pizza and gelato which will be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! at night we went out to have our first gelato experience. and holy crap! it was delicious! i got "frutti" which had fruit chunks in it and i got it on a waffle(a real waffle that was nice and thick) with chocolate sauce and whipped cream(real whipped cream, not from a can) it was a piece of heaven in my mouth! then we walked around to the David, which is actually a copy (there is 3 of them) and its was sooo cool. its an open air museum that has alll sorts of statues that just are stunning.(once again reference the pix)...if you want all the pictures i took i can send you a snapfish link that includes all of them by the way and everyone needs to set up an skype account asap so i can video call you for free!!!! so please do so!!!! but the open air museum was stunning and so cool just to eat our gelato with all this history and beauty around us!
