So today was the big move into the apartment!!! It was so exciting, but before I get into that, breakfast that morning was delicious!! We had it up in the hotel's restaurant on the 5th floor (which is really the 6th because 1st floor is our 2nd floor) and the views from my seat alone were absolutely stunning!!! if you look at my photos u will know what i am talking about. once we finished we went up to the top terrace of the hotel and i was blown away again. words can't describe it!!!!! we got a 360 degree view of the whole city and it was incredible!!! then once we were done freezing bc the wind was going crazy, reminded me of being back in boston in between the buildings. we thankfully had time to get our stuff together because we weren't heading over to our apartment until noon time which was nice. we all were soooooooooooo excited to go to our apartment! we couldn't contain ourselves!!! we finally met our other two roommates at this point because we couldn't find them before through the 200 kids that are in the program. and there is like 30 guys total in the program which is really funny. we finally got into the bus that took us to our apartment and the excitement was positively killing us all!!! once we got here we had to go in shifts to bring up all of are crap but when we opened the door, OH MY GOD! it is fantastic!!!!!!!! the name of our apartment is casa bianco, which means white house and its serious. we live in like a palace. we have 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a full kitchen(for italy), a living room, dining area, and we are on the river!!! we have the ponte vecchio bridge right outside our window-i could literally throw a baseball to the bridge and hit it dead on! its amazing!!!! i still can't believe we are here! its so surreal, the pictures once again speak for themselves. my room is wicked cute too! our window goes to the street, which can be a little noisy but its so worth it! i get along great with all of my roommates which is a hugggge help too! we are all here for each other and we all mesh really well together! we have done everything together and its great! we all come from different backgrounds but go together so well! but back to the apartment, its amazing to clarify haha. we have two courtyard views too which is really cool. we weren't expecting this at all. i thought we were going to have 1 shower for the 8 of us and be crammed in here, but thats not the case. we have like too much space which is weird saying. i was actually able to fit all my clothes into 1 1/2 bigggg drawers and hang up a few things in the closet-i was amazed to say the least. now i wish i brought more stuff haha, no just kidding haha. it still will be interesting to see how i can fit everything to go back home. and the apartment is 3 stories up (according to italy we are on the 2nd floor though-still trying to adjust to that every time i go up and down the stairs) it is such a good work out though!! i can feel the burn. after we met with our landlord we unpacked things and then ran across town to get our internet set up because we all couldn't wait any longer. thankfully by the time we got back we had internet only a few hours later which was fantastic! bc i couldn't go without it. we had an apartment meeting and i basically ran it bc they all looked towards me bc of my RA background, which was nice-made me smile. the rest of the night we just hung out and settled in more
