Hey there Minnesotans! How are you guys way up north? Is it getting chilly yet? It´s still beautiful here- in the 70´s and 80´s everyday =) I just have to rub it in! Well, our new roomate came on Friday night, and he seems really cool. We hung out with him all weekend with some other friends too, and I think he´s a pretty normal 24 year old guy. So, it´s great because we were expecting the worst. He´s from San Fransisco, knows a good amount of spanish, and has had some teaching experience. It´s good because the other lady that was living with us was becoming very negative (even though living with her was ok) and she wasn´t very outgoing. This guy is outgoing and will help push Adam and I to get out there and practice our spanish with people. Ok, let´s see, this weekend we went to a huge dance club in town for the first time- it was interesting to say the least. This place was crazy- lots of noise, packed with people, lots of lights, and they even lit off little fireworks right there inside the building! I don´t know what´s with Mexicans and fireworks, but they seem to be obsessed! Adam and I tried to dance, but we suck really bad compared to all these people that have learned the steps and moves since they were little. It´s a completely different style of dancing from the states. So that was fun, but we probably won´t go there too frequently. Maybe 1 or 2 more times while we´re here, we´ll see. We´re just getting way too old for that crazy stuff =) Then on SUnday we went to a huge pool. Just like in the states they have these huge neighborhood pools where you pay to get in and swim. We went with a big group of people and had a picnic and just hung out. It was a cool place- next time I¨ll take pictures. Well, I don´t really have much else to say. I´m already looking forward to coming home for Christmas- actually just knowing that we´re coming helps me not be too homesick, since I know I¨ll see everyone soon. I´m exctied for Jason to be here because we´re going to try to only speak spanish in the house to practice, so that should help a lot. I can order food at restaurants and ask people questions, but I need more regular conversation practice. I also joined the more advanced spanish class too, so that should help. Ok, well, that´s about it, you guys should e-mail me now and tell me all about the details in Minnesota! I sometimes feel like I must be boring you to death! I just ramble on and on.... Take care everybody!!! love, sarah
