Yeah! First day of classes was today. We started our lecture series, and today's two speakers were so great we almost wished we had more time for each session. The topics were Early Monasticism and Celtic Christianity. I also had my first Christian Tradition in Literature class today. The professor really seemed to be able to get everyone involved in the discussion. We discussed Chancer today and asked a lot of interesting questions about the connections between Christianity and literature. Two of my roommates are in the class with me. All three of my roommates are really nice and I've meet some other sweet girls on the trip too. I'm starting to be able to find myself around Oxford, which is surprising considering my sense of direction. Most everyone's feet and legs are killing them, because we walk miles each day. Unfortunately, the walk back to The Vines, where we are staying is mostly uphill. Good thing I have bandaids for the blisters! It also has rained without fail for each day since I've gotten here. Everything is a bit damp, especially considering my jacket and umbrella are in my still MIA bag. Tomorrow we get our cards to and tour of the Bodleian, only one of the largest libraries in the world! That's a lot of books!
