Monica and I went to Hameln, the village of the Pied Piper. It was kinda nice. I mean I'm not gonna like, it was a little disappointing. For example, there was this big fuss over these Glass windows in the St. Nicolas church, but there was really only one, and it was a copy of one from the 17th century. However, it was really cool to learn about the town (though our guidebook didn't really say much about the Pied Piper) and it was cool to learn that they think that the kids really were taken. We then ate some good Pfannekuchen near the Bucket O' Malaria, and it took FOREVER, to get it, but it was WELL worth the wait. We then got to see the clock on the Hochzeitshaus which shows the Rattenfänger taking the kids away. Very cool, and the tune is stuck in my head!
After leaving, we went to Hofgeismar in search of Puss in Boots, but alas he wasn't to be found, but we got Berliners instead, so that made it TOTALLY worth it!!
