A quiet day today. I went for a run in the Albayzin neighborhood of Granada this morning and got lost in its maze of streets and alleys. I was looking for the Alhambra over look, but it took me 25 minutes to find it. It was actually a lot of fun as it was me, the cats, and a few locals at that time of the morning. Our flight to Barcelona was not until 15:20 (Europe likes their military time) so we had a couple of hours left to kick around in Granada. Nothing earth shattering, but it was nice to walk around the narrow streets. We did buy some cookies from a convent, which is something new. The flight to Barcelona went smoothly. We caught the bus into town and met the caretaker of our apartment. We went through Vacation Rentals By Owner for this place. We have two bedrooms and a kitchen. It is nice to have a little more room. Got settled, went out for dinner, and then walked around our area. In our short time here I have noticed that Barcelona is a lot more cosmopolitan than the other places we have been. It reminds me a lot of New York City. Tomorrow we are off to see the sights.
