Day five. Had an interesting night listening to the potter patter of feet on my roof. Apparently it's the local rats from the jungle so decided not to introduce myself. Up early to toast bread for the student groups breakfast before they left. They had a presentation and gave the project 4200 euros !!! It has really made an impression on them. After they went we had to pack up all the tents in 90 degree temps. At lunch time two women from Canada came from a charity because they had heard about the project with a view to trying to help. They were so impressed by the work here and to be honest it's hard not to be its absolutely inspiring. I think they are going to provide find to irrigate the garden as well as supplying clothes as they have a contact in colours of Benneton. They are coming back tomorrow.
In the afternoon we prepared the kids for a parades it's a big festival here called the festival of the turtle. The turtle is very important here and they had a massive parade to celebrate. Can't put all the photos on but I hope you will get a favour of what it was like. I'm absolutely shattered every night and didn't sleep well at all last night. - maybe it was the noise of the rats scratching at my front door when all the time I thought it was the cat !! another busy day tomorrow but Ill tell you about that later. That is for all the messages sorry I can't reply.
