Nat's Adventures
Here i am again. Now this is kinda embarassing, but i can look back and laugh and reflect now. On Wednesday there Sarah and i went to join in conversatonal english class (not for our benefit). Anyway, sitting on the floor for an hour, crammed beside 30 others. My Tibetan group of peeps struggled to understand the scottish twang of mine somewhat! Anyway tried to stand up at end and just fell straight back, i could see it happening in slow motion, scary. I think i took a few people down as i fell and could hear a tourist bloke say "what's up, sister?". Everyone gathering around me to see the damage and i'm shouting 'pins and needles', the Tibetans are like pins, pins?!? We established it as numb legs so a couple (boy and girl) of them started rubbing/massage my legs and feet. Hilarious. Sarah says she did'nt see a thing but perhaps she's saying that to keep my dignity! Not going to return to this class, as i feel i have made a lasting impression already.
The Wedding...we were the first guests to arrive (without a present also!), and the only two in strappy tops!! Inidan weddings are very long and noisy, but it was worth the experience. Beautiful colours and delicious curries! Looked exhausting for bride and groom. I've now decided against marrying an Indian, unless the ceremony is Gretna Green!
So it was a long day/night for us but we decded to escape from Mcleod Ganj today and go on bus ride out. Sarah set the alarm for 6am this morning, i don;t even remember it going off but she switched it off and we slept till midday! While the builders worked right outside our window.
Off to clean the kitchen because there are beetles the size of small kittens in the vicinity. Not sure if they are posionous yet.
