Monday - sunny then rain
We woke up to the sounds of the Mr Whippy Van man this morning. No no it was only the garbage truck, they must play that music to keep the workers merry.
After breakfast we went for a walk around town, and Hoi An is just as cool to look at during the day as it is at night. With it's tiny lanes, yellow buildings, timber doors and shutters. We went through the markets and I picked up a black silk sleeping bag linner for Nepal, and stopped at a cafe for a couple coffees.
We had a good long walk around town and then back to the hotel. We checked out, and waited for our bus to Hue to come pick us up.
Well the bus was pretty crap again! It was old, slower than hell, seats were shot, it leaked when it rained, and the a/c was broken. YES it still had a ridiculously loud air horn and YES the driver still wanted to overtake everyone, even round blind corners. Lucky it wasn't a too longer ride, only four 1/2 hours to Hue.
Along the trip we came across another great looking beach town made a note of it. It was at the other end of a tunnel that went through the mountains on the north side of Da nang, it was a very long tunnel, much longer than the M5 tunnel
When we arrived out the front of this hotel, and we were approached by a lady, she showed us a room on the 5th with a balcony all for $12. It ended up be the hotel were planning to stay at. After a short rest we went out for some Pho $2 dinner, that's more like it. We grabbed a six pack and pringles at a grog shop and watch rocky.
We plan to hit the streets of Hue tomorrow, apparently Hue was the old capital of Vietnam. Hopping for a nice long sleep.
