Saturday : sunny then storms
Had a good sleep last night, needed one after the bus trip yesterday. We slept with the window open most of the night. The temperature here is quite pleasant.
Breakfast was good, it was cooked by the hotel owners. They even had Vegemite! We shared the table with 6 frenches, there are a lot of them I've noticed here in Dalat.
It was a slow start today after a late breakfast, we didn't leave the hotel until 10am. We jumped on some push bikes that are provided by the hotel. Apparently its the way to see Dalat, and I think it may be one step closer
to jumping on a scooter by ourselves.
We headed for the lake and had a little trouble finding it. Eventually found the lake and we rode around it for a bit, we chose to sit on a bench and take some photos and do some reading up on what to see here.
We started to move off got round to the otherwise and then the sky opened up. The rained drenched Kim and we had to take shelter under an umbrella that was at a bus turning bay or somthing until it passed.
We had to wait an hour before we could set off again, we rode round till we came across a lake front restaurant. We went inside and had coffee, tea, chips and dim sims. Hot food and drinks to warm us up.
After lunch we made a our way up the hill to Crazy house, negotiating the traffic along the way and traveling the small highland roads, Kim was freaking out but did really well. It sure is Crazy there a stairways leading every which way and some to nowhere. You can rent rooms here too. Each sort of wings to the house suppose you could call them, had different themes caves, jungles, tree houses & Asian styled to name a few, looked like they where building new additions to the house just too to add to the craziness.
We were just about to leave when we were approach by two fellas from a motorcycle tour company Talked to them for a bit a decided to take them on. The tour is a fair bit dearer than taking the bus, but promises to be good taking in the central highland mountains before winding down to the coast taking two - three days. We get picked up Monday morning so we will see then.
So we set off down the hill but not before having another chat to a fella from Hong Kong we exchanged emails, we may be there around they same time and will catch up. We eventually got going passing the lake a headed to the markets, man people everywhere it was packed. We had a quick walk through, a lot of food for sale. At these markets. May check them out more tomorrow.
We seemed to have a done a bit of a loop before finding the right street to be on, which took us to the hotel just in time before it started to rain.
The rain didn't last long this time and we headed out for some Pho, loving the Pho. Another cheap meal and then back to the hotel for some shuteye. No wait not yet silence of the lambs is on tele... Nice!
