Did not what to wake up this morning. Way too early. We had breakfast back at the bamboo place that's three meals in a row there. Afterwards they took Kim and I to our kayak. The plan for the day was to find an empty beach.

The beaches close to Cat Ba town were over crowded. Well there was one beach that was empty, but it was kept private for a resort. No public access.

It was fun paddling around the islands out on the ocean. We stopped at three empty beaches, but they weren't perfect alot of coral and no shade.

Off in the distance we could see two bigger islands, and using my phone satellite gps we could see they had bigger beaches, so off we went. The sea got a lot bigger out in the middle it was fun. We hit land, it wasn't a perfect beach, it had a fair bit of rubbish washed up, even saw a suringe floating by, a lot less coral thoughThEe got setup, and ended up staying for a couple hours, had a good lunch and swim.

We struggled slightly relaunching the kayak, the tide had come back in, and the waves were much bigger, I fell out, and broke my seats back rest jumping back in. The kayak you could say took on quite a lot of water too. So we pulled it back up the beach, and bailed some of the water out with the washed up bottles.

We were successful the second atempt, and powered home. The beaches we first stopped at, were no longer there with the high tide. It was a good paddle back, a good 4hrs spent exploring the bay by ourselves. We got taken back to our hotel. Had a shower and I had a power nap.

It was a hot afternoon today. Perfect for cocktails. So we made plans to sort out bus tickets for tomorrow, get massages, and then arvo drinks, followed by dinner. Much quieter night tonight everyone seemed to of come for last night and went home.

The drinks and massage went a treat. We had dinner, back at the place where we had the good breakfast, the other day. Well they could make the same impression the second time round. The food was ok but, they didn't bring out one dish and we didn't even get cutlery. Kim gave them their deserved complaint and then we were off to another bar, for a few more drinks.

Then back to the hotel to packup, couple more big beers some ice-cream and bed early morning bus tomorrow.
