Saturday : sunny
Up early to pack up, have breakfast then get to the airport to flight back to Kathmandu.
It was and hour wait before our plane arrived. Seems to be first in best dressed at this airport. We got our boarding pass and they had a number one one them, and the first plane that turned up we hopped on.
Easy flight, no crashes and Kim was less scared this flight. The bus back to the hotel was huge and the driver did well getting down the narrow lanes around Kathmandu.
We were at the hotel for no more than half an hour, and Kim and I went to go drop our trekking laundry off, and drop our hired gear off. Then dropped off my pants to get elastic fixed that came loose.
On the way back we stopped off at good old revolution cafe. After a great $4 meal we we went back to the hotel and finally after 2 weeks we got our shower. We are in a much nicer room this time, much quieter and looks out over the garden.
We were ment to go and watch the AFL final with our group, but we lost track off time. Then Nissa came round and said the group had no luck finding a pub showing it and split up. We decided to go to a cafe for drinks and wifi.
We had a few good drinks and chips then the girls left to go do some shopping. I stayed in the coffee shop for another few hours, and then got back to the hotel and saw a few familiar faces out in the garden, having a couple drinks.
We were met in the garden by the rest of the group, and we all wanted to go get some dinner together.
It took a while to pick a restaurant, we all agreed and took a seat inside a nice looking mexican restaurant. It was one of the funniest meals in a long time. The waiters had no idea what happened to the meals, but nearly every meal and drink was wrong. Nissa was in hysterics.
After dinner we split up but agreed to meet up later for dessert. Nissa and Kim went back to the hotel, Jordan and I went walkabout. Kathmandu is nice at night, with all the shops and lights, could do with out all the crazy Moto riders. At least there are no trucks and buses driving these narrow streets.
I bought some maps for our future trek, then we went to meet the rest of the group. No dessert for me we had a good chat then went back to the hotel and watched some tv before bed.
