Wednesday : sunny
Another great sunrise this morning, we didn't have to go far to watch it either. We watched it from our hotel balcony, there was just the right amount of clouds to throw off some colour.
We packed up and had a quick breaky, then we made over a 1000m decent to a raging river. We passed down through the forest into cow paddocks and then steep rice terrace farms.
We crossed the rickety timber suspension bridge, then climbed up again to 2170m. It was a warm day today so the sweating was back in full force. After all the hot climbing we had to do another big decent down to Jhinu. This one hurt, my big toes were burning, It was very relieved to take my shoes off.
We smashed the track today, we got to Jhinu in four hours it was suppose to take 5-6.
After a pizza and coke lunch, we got changed into some Hot Spring attire and made our way down again. Never been to a hot spring before, it would be just what we needed after the full on walk today.
The springs were in a man made pool and the hot water rose up from underground nearby, and was directed into the pool by pipes. The pool was located right next to a raging river. The water in the spring was steaming, we were there chilling-out looking up at the hills around us for almost 2hrs. Because the pool was built beside the river, when I was getting too hot I could hop into the icy mountain water. The water was that cold, whatever depth I went in, my skin turned pink below that level.
We decided to leave when the pool started to get a bit too crowded. There use to be three pools but two were destroyed in floods.
We came back up to the lodge and played cards and chatted with our guide Surya until dinner then went to bed.
