Friday : sunny
Oh gwizz feeling rough this morning, for the last day. It took me a while to get ready this morning. So worth it still, great night last night. The 'harder than a rock' toast was not enough for breaky today, I needed a big beef burger.
It was great to start walking this morning, still felt terrible but at least things had stopped spinning. We took a detour high up into the hills to go around the last suspension bridge that was damaged by the earthquake. It was a long skinny track full of Trekkers and Porters. It was not easy to find room to avoid all of them.
There were so many more trekkers, porters and yaks today. We have been noticing the increase over the last couple days. Hopefully our next trek isn't affected by the crowds.
WE DID IT !!!!! We all made it back to Lukla. Handshakes all round, it was a great feeling to be back and to be finished walking.
We got back to the lodge next to the airport, no plane for us today. We will be staying here tonight for our flight tomorrow. The airport only has flights in the morning because the weather in the afternoon is a bit unpredictable. It was lunch time and I was starving. I ordered my biggest meal on the trek.
After a bit of confusion with our room keys, we got into the rooms and had a good rest.
We emerged later in the afternoon, and hung out with the rest of the group. One of the group Tim wasn't feeling to crash hot. So after dinner he went to bed and not to long after that so did the rest of us
It was going to be an early rise of 4:30 tomorrow for our plane back to Kathmandu.
