Hello again! I am now on the coast, in a place called Puerto Villarta. My original plan was to head to Acapulco after this place, but with a second look at the map, its gonna easily take some 20 hours straight on a bus! So, Im gonna return to Guadalajara in 4 days, and from there I will catch another bus to Mexico City. The local busses here are mad. There are no bus stops, you just have to know the route, and wave like mad when they come. Most bus journeys are about 5-9 Pasos, which is around 25 - 50 pence. However, the national bus compamies are amazing! The bus here was probably the best bus I have ever been on! There was 2/3 times the leg room, and the seats went fully back, and all for 18 pounds! Bargin! I didnt really get upto too much in Gadalajara, only some sight seeing and plenty of walking. In places, epecially the shopping areas could be any main town in Europe. The architecture is of-course very Spanish in style. The other thing is the weather! Its now rainy season here, which means it rains hard for about 1 hour everyday, usually accompanied by thunder and lighting. Last night was probably the biggest and closest storm I have ever seen, the lightening was almost every 1 to 2 seconds. The streets also flood quickly, so once the rain has got you wet, the cars then follow up just incase you wernt wet enough; and they dont care either! Some people carry umbrellas to point at the road! Well the hostels quite nice here, but it seems a little empty, plus its a little out of town. But, Im told there is an Outback steak house here, so Im gonna track that down later today. (not very Mexican I know) So Catch ya later in Mexico City.
