After leaving Rostrennen we had a night at Carhaix Plouguer having been unable to find B and B at Plusquellec. Having failed to contact them by phone and SMS we eventually got through by email and arranged to meet on the 20th. We met up outside the Mairie at Plusquellec and followed B's car to the house. Loads of work for them but comfortable now and the prospect of being lovely in the future. Had a most enjoyable meal, several glasses in front of the wood burnin...

A sunny then wet then sunny with a strong wind day and an overnight stop at a Le Boat marina. Walked round the village but nothing of much interest and even the one bar closed.

A familiar stop by now. We always use this aire when calling at Glomel to visit J and J. Good to see them again, both well and enjoying dividing their time between here and Somerset. Glad to be visiting a town with a launderette, which we used.

Stopped for lunch at St. Max Last time we were here there was a music festival and the town was alive. This time, being a Monday in France, everything is closed. The aire at Bressuire no longer exists so the large car park has had to suffice.

What a day. The TomTom came close to being jettisoned on a good six occasions today, to be closely followed by the French Aires book. Dead ends, roads barely the width of the van, non-existent aires, supermarkets advertising fuel that don't sell fuel - we've had it all. This aire isn't too bad although, apart from a huge park and leisure complex, there is very little else here. We'll be off early tomorrow.
