Pic of the day - my dusty boots... they will need a darn good clean before flying back to nz!
Had a sad farewell with Brom today - he is a fantastic man, genuine, authentic and so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. His two kids Jason and Melissa are such a credit to him. The apple has certainly fallen close to the tree. He has helped me out with so much and of course helped me make the stock whip. We will keep in touch, he and Melissa are coming to New Zealand towards the end of November this year.
Two rides today, one with a family of four down by the river. No one could really ride so it was slow and steady. Trying to get a family pic of them was like pulling teeth, I may have made the comment that they couldn't organise a party in a brewery... thankfully they laughed. I was out on Rollie, apparently he was used last night in a ride and kept kicking out at China Doll. No one has seen this from him before, so hopefully it was a one off. He certainly behaved himself today. Had to top up the brake and power steering fluids - he has been ridden by guests too frequently. Still he was good.
Started trying to pack my bags, only so far that I could pack until I do a load of washing tomorrow and clean my filthy boots etc.
The ride tonight might be my last ride on Pluto. He was as good as ever. Went out to the airstrip and had a guest in Duke. A nice evening ride.
Roderick cooked dinner and I handed out some gifts, explaining the Tui with the two voice boxes etc. it was well received. Roderick then put a catfish skull on the table, which has an amazing imagery. Jesus Christ on the cross as a starter. It's truely amazing to look at. Sounds like there is a guy in Wyndham who actually paints the crucifix on them, does an amazing job. I look forward to seeing this.
Last full day tomorrow, looks like qantas or Air North has moved my Kununurra to Darwin flight... might have to check it out in the morning. I was supposed to leave at 4:50pm arriving in Darwin at 7:15 - meeting Tom for dinner. According to my app I now don't leave until 8:55pm arriving in Darwin at 11:20!

Natasha I trust the farewells go smoothly tomorrow. I'm sure you've made as much of a good impression on them as they've made on you :) Travel safe. Enjoy the next portion of the trip.
