Today's picture is of a resident Blue Faced Honey Eater, every lunchtime they come in and see what we have to eat.
A chillaxing morning, the Albany guests left us today - they had been here for 10 days and felt like family. After they left Alida had another go at flying the drone and still no success. It seems to disconnect frequently and we are now wondering if there is actually a faulty cord in the remote unit?
We then vaccinated 30 horses for there booster shot. This seemed to have gone very easily. Started reading a book about how this area was pioneered, parts of which could have been strongly out of a western movie about the Wild West. Very interesting. Talking with Brom he refers to the Kimberley as the last frontier which again in many instances I couldn't agree more. This trip has been real, raw and authentic.
This afternoon we took out two rides, I took the lead on one group which went really well, took another scenic route in the way home, but nobody seemed to complain about it - except Netty who gave me a hard time. Was quite funny really.
Overall a good day at the station. Brom is leaving tomorrow, sounds like Netty is leaving here Saturday too by the sound of it. I fly to Darwin on Saturday and onto the next adventure. Alix and Mena will still be here. Actually Mena sliced the end of her finger during dinner prep tonight. She felt a little light headed, afterwards I explained if it was me I would have fainted for sure!
Alix is very happy today as France is in the soccer World Cup final.
