Master chefs . . .
I got up 7am ish and went for a walk through the slaughter market, past the fish market, the fruit market and then round another island. We were planning on spending 2nights here but after looking round I decided I couldn't as all you can do is shop or get clothes tailored made. So after eating a weird breakfast of street food of bananas and sweet potatoes I ventured back bumped into miss young getting her coats tailored made, and researched Accommodation in the next destination, showered, packed, checked out and booked me overnight sleeper bus to nha trang. I did stretches with the receptionist, she is so funny. Laura came back early and decided to do the same thing of packing and leaving, not stretching!
We had out Vietnamese cooking class at 1.30pm, eee it was hot hot work being couped up in a kitchen mid day over a hob. We started by making the veggie curry we had selected. Once made we sat down and ate.
Followed by making the shrimp and cabbage soup, this too was yummy and we ate straight away.
Finally followed by making fried veg spring rolls, as we love Vietnamese spring rolls they are made differently to anywhere else and are just the best with a hot fish sauce dip.
So we ate our spring rolls outside, confused as to why we made the dishes in reverse order, it just made no sense. But never the less we were stuffed and the cuppa tea and fruit just finished me off. Thank you cafe 43 and Anna and Joe for recommending it!
We nipped into the tailors and got Laura's alterations done, got ready for the bus, and on we hopped at 6pm. It's our first sleeper bus here, and it is just the daftest layout ever, India was better. Here there are 3 rows (row 4 in between 1 and 2) with two berths, and your feet are encased in, and your chair is sat up with your legs straight if your legs are small enough, and you recline the chair for sleepy time.
I was right next to the loo on the top Laura below so we couldn't talk so I curled up into a ball, wrapped up, popped me ipod in and watched the view eating cookies with my cuppa trying to send myself off to kip, I had various dozes throughout the night but really didn't clock any sleep. We stopped a couple times so I did some stretches and ate a pineapple that seemed to swell all my tongue and burn my lips, so my mouth is a bit sore. Not to worry. xx
